The State Executive Branch, through the State Coordination of Civil Protection (CEPC), will strengthen actions in all 58 municipalities to prevent and mitigate damage to citizens and their property as the hurricane and tropical storm season begins.

The state agency reported that, according to the National Meteorological Service of Conagua, the systems that most affect the state originate in the Pacific. Therefore, CEPC personnel are preparing for a forecast of up to nine storms, five low-intensity hurricanes, and up to four major hurricanes that could impact the region.

State Civil Protection continues to urge the 58 municipalities to take preventive measures before the rainy season, including cleaning channels, streams, drains, and sewers to avoid harm to the residents of the four regions.
