Taco Fair postponed again; new date being considered

Taco lovers, in all their forms, will finally have the opportunity to choose from nearly 80 confirmed vendors for the first edition of the fair dedicated to this quintessential Mexican snack. However, the organizers are so disorganized that it’s now been postponed for the third time.

The event, initially promoted as the Taco Fair, was originally scheduled for March and then moved to Saturday, April 18th and Sunday, April 19th. Less than a week before that date, it has already been tentatively rescheduled for May 2nd and 3rd.

For now, the central corridor of Juan H. Sánchez Park, popularly known as Morales Park, remains the fair’s venue.

This gastronomic event, conceived by the Tourism Department of the San Luis Potosí City Council, will bring together 78 taco vendors in one place for the first time. These vendors have also become involved in organizing the event, as previously reported by El Sol de San Luis.

According to some of the organizers, attendees will have access to a wide variety of options, including new dishes and combinations.

And of course, there will be special promotions, and even tastings of all the dishes: tacos, quesadillas, gringas, quesabirrias, and much more, with options for all tastes.

However, some of the confirmed vendors have already expressed their discontent, and there are concerns that some—including several well-known ones—may ultimately withdraw from the event.
