Diplomatic representatives from Japan, Germany, and the United States visited the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) of San Luis Potosí, where they learned about the security strategy implemented in the state.
According to the agency, in recent weeks the head of the agency held meetings with the U.S. Consul in Monterrey, Melissa A. Bishop; the Consul General of Japan, Takero Aoyama; the Head of Economic Affairs, Kengo Okumura; and the Vice Consul of Germany in Mexico, Anne Helmreich.
During the meetings, coordination efforts between state and federal authorities were discussed, as well as operations deployed in all 59 municipalities. The diplomats reportedly heard about the security situation and its relationship to the investment climate in the state.
The agency indicated that these meetings are part of a series of institutional gatherings with foreign representatives interested in learning about the security conditions in the state.
