The 2024 San Luis Potosí National Fair (Fenapo) closed its edition with historic figures in terms of attendance and economic impact.
According to the Fenapo board of trustees, during the period from August 8 to September 31, the summer festival attracted 8.5 million people, consolidating itself as one of the most important and largest fairs in the country since 2 million more people attended than the previous year.
In addition, with the offer of events within the framework of the fair, an economic impact of 5 billion pesos was generated, exceeding the expectations of the organizers and benefiting multiple economic sectors of San Luis Potosí.
The massive influx of visitors to Fenapo not only came from San Luis Potosí, but also from neighboring states and international tourists. This diversity of attendees boosted economic growth in different areas, from hotels and gastronomy to transportation and local commerce.
Cultural, artistic and sporting events were key to attracting so many visitors, along with the offer of free mechanical games and the variety of shows at the Teatro del Pueblo and the Palenque. The presence of internationally renowned artists was also a determining factor in the success of the fair.
It is worth noting that among the most important mass events of this 2024 edition are the musical performances of Natanael Cano, Ricky Martín, Marc Anthony, Maluma and Alfredo Olivas.
