State Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona reported that San Luis Potosí ranked among the top 10 nationwide in formal job creation, registering 8,345 new positions affiliated with the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) during the first four months of 2025.
He emphasized that this achievement is the result of a solid economic policy, driven by attracting investment, supporting local businesses, and promoting the state’s competitive advantages.
The governor indicated that through joint work with the productive sectors and attracting domestic and foreign capital, San Luis Potosí is now making steady progress toward a stronger, more dynamic, and limitless economy to improve the quality of life for families in San Luis Potosí.
Nationally, 179,289 new formal jobs were created during the same period, consolidating San Luis Potosí as a key player in the country’s economic development and as a regional leader in the Bajío region.
